About Almac Group

Operating from state-of-the-art facilities across the US, Europe, and the UK, Almac Pharma Services is a member of the Almac Group and is an established CDMO partner to the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, employing over 2,000 highly skilled professionals. With more than 57 years of experience, we deliver scientifically robust, flexible solutions to support drug development from early-phase through to commercialisation.

At APS PharmSci, we are showcasing our deep expertise in pharmaceutical development and oral dose formulation-supporting clients to transform complex molecules into viable clinical and commercial products. Our development scientists work in purpose-designed facilities to optimise formulations, enabling rapid progression from candidate selection through First-in-Human studies and into later-stage clinical development.

Our integrated development offering spans:

  • Pre-formulation and formulation development
  • Biopharmaceutics and process optimisation
  • Clinical trial manufacturing and scale-up
  • Late-phase development and commercial readiness

This seamless approach enables a smooth transition through the development lifecycle, reducing risk and accelerating timelines.

Almac is a recognised leader in the manufacture and primary packaging of oral dosage forms, including tablets, capsules, and powders, supporting all stages of clinical development and commercial supply. We complement this with flexible, customised secondary packaging solutions, including specialist capabilities for complex products such as ultra-low temperature therapies.

We also bring proven experience in advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs). As one of the first EU CDMOs to support gene therapy product launches, we currently support approximately 25% of EU-approved or pre-registration gene therapies, underlining our capability in handling complex and sensitive products.

Beyond manufacture, we provide end-to-end supply chain support, including packaging design, labelling, global distribution, and launch readiness—ensuring continuity from development through to commercial supply.

At Almac, we operate as a true partner—working collaboratively with our clients to deliver tailored, science-led solutions that mitigate risk, enhance efficiency, and ultimately accelerate the successful development and delivery of innovative medicines to patients worldwide.
