What We Do
Find out what has happened and the plans for the Focus Group.
We’ve arranged many meetings over the Focus Group’s history, largely with other Focus Groups (to enable a broader learning), we also arrange sessions for the APS PharmSci meeting annually. Past Meetings:
- APS Advances in Amorphous Design, Control and Delivery of Amorphous and Co-amorphous Pharmaceutical Materials, Charles Darwin House in central London on Tuesday 3 October 2017
- Excipients – selection, control, application and suitability: Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th May 2016
- APS Particle Engineering – Joint Meeting with SSPC at Trinity College, Dublin, April 2015
- APS Amorphous by Design 2014
These are identified by each Focus Group to make a significant contribution to pharmaceutical science in developing medicines. This includes the Manufacturing Classification System (MCS) for the Material Science Focus Group.
The Focus Group will contribute to the scientific programme for the annual APS PharmSci meeting and organise additional symposia to promote awareness of innovative approaches across material science; often in collaboration with other Focus Groups.
