Abstract Submission Process

Why Submit an Abstract?

The APS Nanomedicines Symposium 2025 provides an excellent opportunity to showcase your research. There are opportunities (5 x 5 min) for submitted abstracts to be selected as short oral presentations which will really help in promoting your research. Furthermore, there are prizes for the best posters presented by a student.

The abstracts will be available in advance of the APS Nanomedicines Symposium 2025 for attendees to browse. There are also dedicated times for poster browsing within the symposium agenda. This will maximise the networking opportunities provided by submitting an abstract/poster

Who Should Submit an Abstract?

The Presenting Author must submit the abstract. All communications will be sent to the individual who submits the abstract.

What Needs to be Included in the Abstract?

  • Presenting Author Name
  • Presenting Author’s Email – note that this email MUST be the same as the one used to register for the conference.
  • Poster Title – the posters will be searchable via the titles; make sure that your title contains relevant key words to maximise exposure.
  • List of Additional Authors and their email addresses.
  • 3 keywords to help us identify reviewers for your work

Submission Format – abstracts must be submitted as a PDF file and must not exceed 10MB.

Please ensure you name the file using your surname (surname.pdf).

If you are submitting multiple abstracts please use your surname and a number (Surname1.pdf; Surname2.pdf).

When is the abstract deadline?

Abstracts must be submitted by 5pm on Friday 27th June 2025.

Who will Review the Abstracts?

The APS Nanomedicines Symposium 2025 Organising Committee, together with a pool of experts from the APS Nanomedicines Focus Group, will review the abstracts to ensure that they meet the criteria for the APS Nanomedicines Symposium 2025.

What is the Abstract Criteria for APS Nanomedicines Symposium 2025?

  • The information must be relevant to the APS Nanomedicines Symposium 2025 audience
  • The abstract MUST contain data that informs the conclusion
  • The abstract must demonstrate new scientific knowledge and not be solely commercial, or sales orientated

What do I need to ensure before I submit my abstract?

  • Inclusion of data
  • Relevance to the APS Nanomedicines Symposium 2025
  • Clarity of the overall message of the abstract: The abstract must clearly describe all the methods used and data generated by the research

Will there be a prize?

There will be prizes for the best posters: these will be judged on clarity, novelty and relevance to the APS Nanomedicines Symposium 2025 audience. The decisions made by the APS Nanomedicines Symposium 2025 Organising Committee will be final. Only posters where a student is the presenting author are eligible for the prizes.

The poster prizes will be awarded during the Conference.

I am also attending the APS PhrmSci 2025 conference in Cardiff. Can I submit the same abstract to the APS Nanomedicines Symposium 2025?

Yes.

What else do I need to know?

You will receive confirmation of acceptance by Friday 18th July 2025. The decisions made by the Conference Organising Committee are final.
