Jayne Lawrence MBE
Professor in the Division of Pharmacy and Optometry, University of Manchester and Director of the University of Manchester, Harwell

Jayne is currently Professor in the Division of Pharmacy and Optometry at the University of Manchester where she is also Director of the University of Manchester at Harwell, a role which involves her liaising with the National Facilities on the Harwell Campus. Prior to joining the University of Manchester Jayne worked at King’s College London and was Chief Scientist at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

Jayne’s research focuses on improving the delivery of a range of therapeutic agents including drugs and genetic material using self-assembled nanomedicines, with special interest in producing nanomedicines containing difficult therapeutic agents and determining the detailed molecular architecture of nanomedicines using a variety of neutron techniques including, sometimes in combination with complimentary X-ray techniques.
